League Sports Foundation Co-Founder/CEO – Mike Morris
Along with being the CEO of League Sports Foundation and founder of League Sports, LLC Mike has 24 years of teaching experience, teaching Physical Education and Health in the Troy School District. Mike is also the founder and the director of the Royal Oak Nationals Baseball Club. He currently is the manager of the 14U Nationals, and he’s the head varsity baseball coach at Troy Athens High School. Coach Morris has coached at the high school level for 24 years. He’s had numerous players go on to play college baseball and his high school teams have won multiple league, district and regional championships under his leadership. In 2013 he was honored by being asked to coach the Michigan High School East Squad in the Michigan High School All Star Game at Comerica Park. His love of baseball and sports started at a young age when he became a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Royal Oak where he was a club member, then staff member and in 1994 named youth of the year. He’s been married to his wonderful wife Hannah for 23 years and they have 3 amazing children; Sam (19), Casey (14), and Charlotte (11).

Along with being the President of League Sports Foundation and League Sports, LLC Patrick has 34 years of teaching experience, teaching Video Tech, Digital Apps 1,2, Language Arts, Science, Reading, and Yearbook in the Troy School District. Coach Koneval has coached football, both boys and girls basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, and track for the last 39 years. During his 34 years of teaching, Mr. Koneval has received many grants including an SOC grant in 1999, Troy Foundation for Education Excellence in 1999, 2000, and 2001, an EDS Technology grant in 2001 and 2003, and a MACUL Technology for Authentic Problem Solving in 2003. He was also selected as the Troy School District Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2013. Some of his hobbies and interests include spending time with his family, computers, reading, writing, and working out. He was lucky enough to be a contestant on The American Gladiators Live Tour in 1991. He is also a published author, with his third book just released in January of 2020. He’s been married to his lovely wife Sandy for 31 years and they have 2 incredible children; Brenden (25), and Samantha (21). He is looking forward to growing the game of baseball in the surrounding areas!

League Sports Foundation Vice President/Treasurer – Tim Penz
Along with being the Vice President/Treasurer of League Sports Foundation and League Sports, LLC, Tim is a Michigan based automotive supplier executive leader with responsibility for global technology. Tim is also a coach with 40 years of experience working with a broad range of players from 4th grade basketball to division 1 college baseball. Over those 40 years of working with families, the lessons of how wonderful being part of a team can be, and the memories that are created are endless. Tim is currently the assistant varsity baseball coach at Troy Athens where he and Coach Morris have represented the Athens families for 19 years. In 2021 Tim was named assistant coach of the year by the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association and in 2022 was honored to coach the OAA vs MAC all start game. Tim and his wife Jen have four children that were student athletes at Troy Athens. Tim and Jen were recently blessed with their first grandchild.
